Yoga Vinyasa Krama
Ana began practicing Hatha Yoga in 1972, with Lucy Guimarães at the Bahia Yoga Association (AYBA), in Salvador, Brazil. She followed her training in France, at the Eva Ruchpaul Institute in Paris, where she taught for 10 years, before practicing independently and in her first studio. From 1994 onwards, Ana made several trips to India, practising in different "ashrams": Khaivalyadhama in Lonavla; Shivananda Kerala; Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KIM) in Chennai with Desicachar, his disciple and son, among others. In 1997, in Mysore, India, she met Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (who was a disciple of Krishnamacharya) of whom she became a student and continued with his grandson and successor Sharath until 2010. In 2001, Ana was officially authorised by the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashatnga Yoga Institut (KPJAYI) to teach the Ashtanga Yoga style. In 2010, she discovered the Vinyasa Krama method and followed the teachings of Srivatsa Ramaswami, with whom she trained. In 2012 she completed training with A. G. Mohan in Mamallapuram, India. Today, Ana transmits the teachings coming from the Krishnamacrarya lineage, in France and Brazil, giving classes and organizing internships and retreats.
