Your restful retreat is just around the corner. Very soon you’ll be swimming in the lake and watching the stars with us at Boomland, an ancient place charged by primal energy and long-ago history. Being Gathering is a collective homecoming where we invite you to unplug and reconnect – with the land, with yourself, but also with others.
The festival’s five-day programme spans live music, sound journeys and DJ sets, forest therapy walks, breathwork, yoga, and so much more. Be sure to check the full programme here.
Ahead of your Being experience, please find below all the practical information you need to make the most out of your time here with us.
Important Information About Access:
Re-Entries: Once you have your wristband on, re-entries are allowed at any time, day or night.
Exits: There are no restrictions on leaving. You can exit Boomland whenever you want, even if the Main Gate is closed for new entries at that time.
The official map is out. Go HERE to explore it in more detail.
The Being Gathering takes place at Boomland, Idanha-a-Nova lake, Portugal. The closest villages are Alcafozes and Idanha-a-Velha, which are 40km away from the Spanish border.
If you’ve ever dreamed of waking up in comfort by the water’s edge, then we’ve got some exciting news: caravans can be parked by the lake at Being Gathering this year.
If you’re bringing a caravan, you’ll be staying in our beautiful natural setting, a sprawling paradise surrounded by trees and freshwater beach for swimming. Check the festival map to see where this is located.
Please note that it is possible to exit the festival with your caravan and then re-enter, but we recommend you do so as little as possible. Should you leave the site, you will most likely be allocated a parking place further away upon your return.
As for camping, new swales have been built to provide flat areas for your comfort. A total of 10 hectares of camping area is available for tents to be pitched.
There are showers available on site. To help reduce pressure on the water system, our showers operate only between 06:00 and midnight each day. They close between midnight and 06:00.
All of our Boomland Canteen Meal Plans are now sold out. If you booked a meal plan at Boomland Canteen, you have received specific information in a separate newsletter.
However, we have a variety of food vendors on site, handpicked for their fresh and healthy menus. As a 100% vegetarian event, we offer a choice of seven food vendors & chai shops, all vegetarian, and made using organic and preferably local products. Learn more about food options here.
All cutlery is biodegradable and will be used as compost in the future.
We are committed to making our festival in nature as inclusive as possible. We are continuously working to improve our site’s accessibility, and want you to have a comfortable experience. However, if you have any specific access requirements or need additional support, please fill out this form.
What's more, we have created a new combined map designed to work as an accessibility tool. On it, you’ll find a map for colour blind people and a Sensorial Map that identifies the types of sensory stimuli you will encounter across the site. You'll be able to access it online in a few days, and at the Gathering.
Being is a camping festival and you are welcome to bring your own tent or caravan.
There are also several other accommodation options available if you prefer to travel light.
Although Tipis for 6 people and Star Tents for 2 people are now sold out, there are still some Star Tents for 5 people or shared places available.

We operate a cashless system at Being. Not only does this help the environment by reducing paper waste, but it means less queuing by creating a faster service at the bars and food vendors. You can top up your cashless from 22 June onwards via the online dashboard. On site, you’ll have multiple places to top up.
At the Bazaar, you can only pay with cash, and some vendors also accept cards or MBWay.
There are no ATMs on site, so please come prepared.
Cups are reusable and not refundable. The water used for washing the cups will be reused after filtration to water the Boomland Gardens. Buy a cup (€1) at any bar or food vendor through the cashless system.
Drones are not permitted on the Boomland site without authorisation. No exceptions.
A new space is open at Boomland, a gym in the bamboo pagoda, with a beautiful view over the lake. Open from 08:00 to 21:00 every day, with supervised training from 08:00 to 13:00. If you’re keen to exercise during your stay, be sure to bring proper gym attire along with a towel. Please respect others, the equipment, and the space.
We would like to create a space of unity and oneness that transcends national identities. As such, please do not bring flags of any nationality to Being.
There is a dedicated area for children at the festival. However, we advise parents not to bring children under 3 years of age. Stay tuned for the Kids & Families newsletter, coming next week in your email.
We remind you that pets are not allowed at the festival. We would love to host your animal pals, but the Boomland site can be hot, busy, and unsuitable for their sensitive hearing. There's also a risk of leishmaniasis – a disease transmitted by parasites that can kill animals.
There is a 24hr medical service and ambulance on site.
The lake has watchkeepers during the day, and a team of stewards are always available on the ground. If your kids are swimming in the lake, please supervise them at all times.
At Boomland, the fire risk is high: we must all watch over and protect the space. There will be a phone number you can contact in case of any emergency.
